• You should have received your final grade email which has advice about the extra credit assignment:
• The Make-Up Assignment assignment is now available, and is due 5pm Friday May 18th.
• Final Exam will be Tuesday May 15th at 1:45pm
• Final Exam: study notes for the final exam has been posted: Study Guide/Outline (PDF) and the

• The Make-Up assignment will be available after your get your final exam score (on Wednesday)
• Quiz 8: will be Tuesday May 8th. It will cover Chapter 8 of the Textbook, the Chapter 8 Lecture Notes, the CogLab (False Memory), and the Roediger & McDermott (1995) article (Please read the Introduction, Experiment 2, and the Discussion)
• Lecture notes for Chapter 8 are now available.
• Readings: remember to read the Schacter (1999) article: Seven Sins of Memory
• Quiz 7: will be Tuesday April 24th. It will cover Chapter 7 of the Textbook, the Chapter 7 Lecture Notes, the CogLab (Prototypes), and the Posner & Keele (1968) article (Please read the Introduction, Experiment 3, and the Discussion)
• Extra Credit You can earn up to 5 points for participating in laboratory experiments in my other class. Psyc 393 Cognitive Lab Experiments.
• The Term Paper assignment is due April 19th -- New! additional notes and help files have been added.

• Quiz 6: will be Thursday April 5th. It will cover Chapter 6 of the Textbook, the Chapter 6 Lecture Notes, the CogLab (Encoding Specificity), and the Thomson & Tulving (1970) article (Please read the Introduction, Experiment 3, and the Discussion)
• Extra Credit You can earn up to 5 points for doing additional CogLab Experiments.
• The class syllabus has been updated with a minor change to the Chapter 7 schedule.
• Lecture notes for Chapter 6 are now available.
• The Term Paper assignment has been posted. Please review it so you can sign up for a topic no later than March 27th.
• Quiz 5: will be Thursday March 15th. It will cover Chapter 5 of the Textbook, the Chapter 5 Lecture Notes, the CogLab (Mental Rotation), and the Shepard (1971) article (Please read the entire article)
• Lecture notes for Chapter 5 are now available.
• Spring Break: No class March 20th or 22nd.
• The Midterm Exam will be on Tuesday March 6th, covering Chapters 1-4, the two Sacks readings, CogLabs 1-4 and the CogLab readings. 50 items, closed notes. Study using your lecture notes and quizzes as a guide. Closed notes. I will provide a green ScanTron.
• Your fourth CogLab is due before class Thursday March 1st: CogLab 4 (Stroop Effect)
• Quiz 4: will be Thursday March 1st. It will cover Chapter 4 of the Textbook, the Chapter 4 Lecture Notes, the CogLab (Stroop Effect), and the Stroop (1935) article (Please read the Introduction, skip to Experiment 2 then skip to the Summary on the last page.)
• Lecture notes for Chapter 4 are now available.
• Your third CogLab is due before class Tuesday Feb 20th: CogLab 3 (Visual Search)
• Quiz 3: will be Thursday Feb 20th. It will cover Chapter 3 of the Textbook, the Chapter 3 Lecture Notes, Chapter 8 of Oliver Sacks book, the third CogLab CogLab 3 (Visual Search), and the Treisman (1980) article (Please read Experiment 1 (p. 97-107) and the Conclusion (p. 131-134).
• Your second CogLab is due before class Thursday Feb 8th: CogLab 2 (Brain Asymmetry)
• Quiz 2: will be Thursday Feb 8th. It will cover the Chapter 2 of the Textbook, the Chapter 2 Lecture Notes, the Chapter 1 of Oliver Sacks book, the second CogLab CogLab 2 (Brain Asymmetry), and the Federmeier (2005) article (which is a short article, so please read the entire thing). Please note that although we have not finished Chapter 2, the quiz may contain questions on the entire chapter.
• Lecture notes for Chapter 2 are now available.
• Your first CogLab is due before class Tuesday: CogLab 1 (Partial Report)
• Quiz 1: will be Tuesday Jan 30th. It will cover the Chapter 1 of the Textbook, the Chapter 1 Lecture Notes, The First CogLab CogLab 1 (Partial Report), and the Sperling (1960) article (which is a long 29 page article with over 7 experiments. Please read only the introduction, Experiments 1 and 3, and the first page of the Discussion on p. 19). Please note that although we have not finished Chapter 1, the quiz may contain questions on the entire chapter.
